ASU HistoryStarting in the early 1970's just after IBM introduced the System/3 small business computer, ASU began as the Columbus chapter of NASU (National Association of System Users). Then, in the late 1970's the national organization disbanded. The local Columbus chapter was such an active branch, it elected to continue on its own. Opening its doors to all computer users and changing its name to the Association of System Users, ASU has since provided a professional organization for a diverse membership.
